The brief here was to design a music poster or advertisement using a photomontage technique. I chose the haunting song 'Albion' from the Chris Wood album The Lark Descending. It tells of a time when he came upon the body of a young man hanging from a tree while walking with his little son in a local park. He contrasts this appalling sight with the sounds of young mothers nearby discussing which were the best schools in the area. I chose a suitable image of a tree and then scanned the contents of a transparent plastic container. I used the resulting image as a layer blend over the picture of the tree. The 'rope' is a scanned loop of string.
