Called in at a local Tesco Express yesterday to pick up a lunchtime sandwich. Also needed cash so it was most handy that Tesco has kindly provided a ‘hole in the wall’ right outside. And, just to make sure we understand exactly where one should stand in order to take advantage of this facility, they’ve kindly painted a pair of feet on the ground, right in front of it.
Do they really think people are so stupid that they’re unsure of the appropriate standing position? That there are some individuals who might try to negotiate the buttons from, say, a metre or so to the left or right of it?
If so, perhaps they should extend the policy and paint more feet ‘in-store’ and then we’ll all know the correct standing location for each shelf.
